CEMETERY

While en route to Ashtabula, we were surprised to discover this cemetery, located on a hill in the woods off Route 84 in Saybrook. Later research revealed that this is actually on private property, although that has done little to prevent vandals from damaging the site. Although most of the markers are unreadable, records indicate that the oldest grave dates back to 1828. Approximately 87 persons are buried here, but less than 40 markers were visible. |
